Arenas banned for taking a gun

Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton were still waiting for their chance as the other players with the wizards jerseys going through the so called “workmanlike practice” Thursday.

Arenas and Crittenton were suspended for the rest of the season. Saunders said they’ve become at times … emotionally and mentally worn down and It’s almost like a boxer: They continue to take body punches, and eventually what it does, it just wears them down. Saunders said the “waiting and not knowing” what Stern’s ruling would be was in some ways more difficult than hearing the news Wednesday.

No matter how the excuse is, it's an embarrassment. But they are still going to go out there and play, so they still have a chance to make the playoffs.

Saints never shaken

Playoff opener was not beyond the control of New Orleans Saints who own nine double-digit victories during the regular season.

Saints receiver Marques Colston said that anyone in that locker room ever lost confidence in what they were capable of doing and they knew the formula and it was just a matter of putting it together for 60 minutes. Colston and his teammates reviewed the 45-14 rout of the Arizona Cardinals in Saturday’s divisional playoff game New Orleans training center on Sunday. Saints had never been to a Super Bowl, so they would try their best this time to prepare to host the Minnesota Vikings (13-4) in the first NFC championship game held in New Orleans next Sunday evening.

All the players with saints jerseys believed their balance in who they can count on to make big plays taking them going so far.

AP’s top offensive player comes up

Chris Johnson won the Associated Press 2009 NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. He was setting a league mark and becoming the sixth player who owns a 2,000-yard rushing season.

As we all know He is the first NFL player to finish with at least 2,000 yards rushing and 500 receiving (503). The event held on Wednesday from a nationwide panel of 50 sports writers and broadcasters who cover the NFL. Johnson defeated New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees, who received nine votes. To Johnson, it was a big supprise. “I didn’t even get one vote at all (for MVP),” Johnson said. “Like the season I had, it seemed like, `What more do they want me to do?’ That just felt like rookie of the year; it’s a quarterback thing I guess.”

Yup, if he wants to heep the honors, he needs to keep wonderful numbers and go head before other players with the NFL jerseys.

Cowboy's momentum verses Vikings' confidence

Minnesota Vikings got three flaw-exposing losses in their last five games and they lost some others. Their first rival was Dallas.“That’s fine. I don’t think anybody in this locker room is concerned about if we are the underdog or we’re the favorites,” Vikings linebacker Ben Leber said. “We’re concerned about getting a good week of preparation in.” Cowboys finished a 13-year run without a playoff victory by beating up the Eagles on Saturday night. Defensive end Jared Allen kidded that Jerry Jones should give the Vikings some money to build new stadium.

Though the media loves the Dallas Cowboys much, the players with vikings jerseys are upgrading now.
